    That is really far fetched

That could not be too far fetched after all. They have new military technology that could be capable of this.
  • PinoPino 85 Pts   -
If left free to develop such a capability there is no doubt that they will, sooner or later.
However, it must be clear to everyone, including the dogs in the street, that this rogue regime must have the potential of achieving such a capability removed as a matter of extreme urgency.
We don't need, nor can afford the luxury of any more meaningless, ''Obama rhetoric'', we must have decisive and effective action NOW.

  • Maybe, over time, but not in the near future. Their latest middle test was a failure as well.
  • WhyTrumpWhyTrump 234 Pts   -
@Pino, Are you suggesting we initiate a war with North Korea now?
    WhyTrump - a good question
  • PinoPino 85 Pts   -
@WhyTrump;- If we decide that North Korea's nuclear development and delivery programme has to be terminated then the time to act is now.
The great orator Obama viewed the North Korean crisis with sun shades on, a bucket over his head and covered all that with a blanket, thus permitting North Korea's crazed warlord a free hand to progress without hinderance to amass his deadly arsenal of nuclear warheads.
As I've previously stated, the disgraceful era of Obama's inertia has come and gone and his political cowardice has left all the free world in a most dangerous place.
As Britain's prime minister Neville Chamberlain discovered when he returned from Munich after meeting with Hitler waving the ''peace in out time'' document. APPEASEMENT DOESN'T WORK.
The longer we wait before facing the inevitable showdown with North Korea the more advanced they will be with their weapons of mass destruction.
It is a scary prospect but we must, with or without China take whatever military action is necessary against North Korea to insure the annulment of their nuclear development programme.
  • Yes, as @Pino said, if no countries such as China, US bother them they will in fact make singer continental middle. Also, if China keeps funding North Korea in absence, the same outcome of a simialar one is possible. These are all reasons why, China needs to stop funding North Korea. I really don't understand why they still do, due to their extremely large threat to their near country, China and globally as well. US is also possibly threatened my their madness as well as many other countries on a global scale.
  • PinoPino 85 Pts   -
@kend_countries19;- China rationalizes their funding of North Korea by reasoning that it is supporting another neighbouring communist regime and such funding will mean that they are automatically eliminated from this crackpot regime's 'hit list'.
Be mindful that it must have been the Chinese who provided the North Koreans with the technology necessary to manufacture a nuclear device.

  • johannaruneljohannarunel 22 Pts   -
No, their funding and technology isn't there yet.
  • love2debatelove2debate 186 Pts   -
It maybe that their current technology is not quite there yet, but as @Pino  said it will continue to evolve and it is a ticking bomb unless other countries take definitive action
  • PinoPino 85 Pts   -
The other unthinkable scenario is that unless the North Korean nuclear programme is terminated and allowed to develop they would almost certainly provide I.S.I.S. or some other anti western international terrorist group with nuclear weapons.

  • agsragsr 881 Pts   -
Ignoring North Korea is not a smart strategy.  The situation maynot fully escalate in the next few years, but long term it will become too dangerous.  Obama elected to ignore the issue for 8 years of his tenure, and that enabled them to further progress in their nuclear program.
What will the next 8 years of North Korea nuclear program mean?  Will to @Pino point the weapon get to ISIS?

While we don't have evidence of long range missile today, it is very possible down the line.

I am not advocating position of going to war with North Korea, but lets see if Trump can put some sort of pressure on them, leveraging China relashionship.

  • Yes, as tech advances, and funding grows as well.

    Most likely, Yes.
