Is The Popular Song "WAP" By Cardi B a Laudable Contribution To Culture?

The song from 2020, did well and ended the year in 11th position on IFPI's year-end singles chart list.  It was 8x platinum.  It became the first female rap collaboration to debut atop the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and had the largest opening streaming week for a song in U.S. history.  So the song made news, and not just for its raunchy lyrics.  

How the song will be remembered 20 years from now is hard to say.  It didn't even end up in the top 10 for the year it debuted, so who knows.

I have never heard of "Cardi B" or "WAP"     So, I watched the music video on Youtube and was unimpressed.     No rhythm or foot tapping beat.    No evocative music.    Unintelligible lyrics.    Just two fat coloured women writhing around in leotards on a display of crass images.     Of course, it can be used as an intelligence test.   Anyone who likes that rubbish would have an IQ around moron level.

When The Doors were on the Ed Sullivan Show they told Jim Morrison not to sing "get much higher". Obviously popular music changes based on what's popular. Those songs are usually short-lived until the next one comes along and luckily no one's forced to listen to them.

What I assumed was that a person with an IQ around moron level would have half a brain which of course is where you would qualify. 

So I withdraw my comment because I did not research enough to find out how much of a brain a moron has. I suspect a moron has more than half a brain so that definitely rules you out so I apologize most sincerely and I mean that from the heart of my bottom.

It's a matter of moving with the times for better or worse I reckon and what's not acceptable now will probably be commonplace in years to come and nobody will think anything of it.

But I certainly hope it takes a shite load of time before, like after I'm gone, that sort of crap gets to be acceptable.
