I'd guess Ghenkis Khan or Alexander the Great (No @MayCaesar you aren't related to him - he didn't have kids).

Both conquered their respective 'worlds'.  I'd say Alexander the Great's one downside was that he did not name a successor so the Diadochi went to war and divided the kingdom.

General/admiral - same difference. 

My fav is Hyman G. Rickover who was the first Jewish admiral in the US Navy.  He brought the Navy into the nuclear age by installing the first nuclear reactor aboard the submarine USS Nautilus.  He controlled the nuclear Navy for three decades as director of the U.S. Naval Reactors office.

I came here hoping for good debate what I seem to have found instead is the intellect of a five year-old attempting to masquerade an intelligent rational adult.

if you cannot find anything of substance to enhance your arguments you could at least gracefully bow out admitting you fail to understand fully the concepts and ideas being discussed. instead you claim me to be a troll while seemingly actively engaged in a form of trolling yourself. this type of behaviour is indicative of a brain that is in some way either developmentally delayed or alternatively the brain of an actual 5 year old child either way …

It employs over 300,000 people in over 100 countries and makes over $32 billion a year. 

You tell me any other general in history who has achieved anywhere near that.

It is difficult to tell who was the greatest General.    What tends to make a great general is both the number of battles won, a general's ability to inspire his soldiers, and the circumstances under which a battle may be won.    A general who prevails in a battle when his men are clearly outnumbered and out gunned is considered a much better general who wins because he has overwhelming force. 

Candidates for all of those qualities would include Hannibal, Scipio, Africanus, Caesar, Alexander, Slim, Napoleon, and Wellington.

Surely it is an easy question to answer.

It is the general who can negotiate and avoid having any battles at all.
