Why choose to honor a God who will judge you unto death if you reject Him?

Debate Information

Why do you choose to honor a God who promises to judge you via a "second death" in Hell if you reject Him?

Our Creator, Jesus our Messiah (Elohim, Genesis 1:1; John 1; Hebrews 1; Colossians 1) is Holy, Just, Righteous, and you and I are created by Him in His spiritual image (Genesis 1:26-28) for a specific purpose as our entire creation is predicated upon war and we are participants in that war for His glory...a war that has been removed from the Spiritual Realm and placed here apart from the Kingdom. As His creation, we are provided the free will to choose life in Him by faith in Jesus as our Messiah and Mediator for our sin (John 3:16) or we can choose to ally with Satan and live in accordance with the will of Satan in debauchery, arrogance, self-righteousness, moral filth, deception and death and suffer for our sin just as Satan will suffer for his (Revelation 20:10-15).

I choose to worship and serve the King of the Universe because His ways are holy and good and sustainable and I identify with the divine attributes of my Creator, I adore Him, I love Him, I choose Him, because He first loved me and gave Himself for me on a Roman Cross to pay my sin-debt owed the Father; Jesus did this for me as Jesus is my Warrior King who has defeated the works of Satan, death-Hell-the grave, through His divine obedience...I choose victory in Jesus over death and Hell in Satan.

If you are wise and prudent, unlike the majority in this demonically rooted debate forum, you will open a Bible and read the "Gospel of John" for YOURSELF and make an eternal decision for YOURSELF as to whom you will serve in this temporary life constrained by Time and physics. You are under the careful eye of your Creator...will you choose to honor Him and live with Him eternally as His servant or will you choose to honor Satan, this dying World, and die in Hell in your sin as has the overwhelming majority in this "Debate Island" debate forum? I implore you to NOT allow the demons in this forum to lead you in the ways of eternal death in Satan...there is very little "good" present in this forum! Do not internalize the words of death that flow from @Factfinder ; @Joeseph ; @Polytheistwitch ; @Fredsnephew ; @MayCaesar ; @Maxx ; @21CenturyIconoclast ; @JulesKorngold ; @Jack ; and many more...be your own man...choose your own way in Jesus, alone.

Your thread title proves there is no freewill in Christianity as you stated ostensively. 'Bend the knee or else'. That's something Putin would demand...

You seem to have a false notion of free will.  It appears you believe that free will means you can make any decision you want with no consequences.  It does not.  You are free to make your own choices, but you are not free of the consequences of them.  To claim that you don't have free will because you experience the consequences of your choices is a bad argument, that fails to observe that in order to experience the consequences of your choices, you had to have free will to make those choices in the first place.

    No, you do.

It appears you believe that free will means you can make any decision you want with no consequences.

No, that's you inventing a strawman again.

It does not. You are free to make your own choices, but you are not free of the consequences of them.

    Duh, captain obvious.

To claim that you don't have free will because you experience the consequences of your choices is a bad argument, that fails to observe that in order to experience the consequences of your choices, you had to have free will to make those choices in the first place.

So a pirate ship mate is forced to walk the plank by the point of a sword chooses death? Cause he walks to the end and falls into the sea instead of death by sword? God is the pirate captain holding the sword, the pirate just wants to live, how does freewill work for the plank walker? It doesn't, the situation is totally controlled by the evil pirate Captain.

True freewill has consequences and those can fall where they may: but when one party controls the consequences by exerting a demand of submission, then it's totalitarian rule that leaves no room for anyone to exercise freewill. See how critical thinking leads to reality based wisdom over your insecure faith in the childish indoctrination of myths?

Some people are into extreme BDSM. We have to be understanding and accepting of it.

Deacon, you can choose to reject God.  He will not force you to spend eternity with Him.  That choice is yours.  God has offered a way to be forgiven of all sins.  That's grace.  Not totalitarian.  You can choose to accept his free offer or you can choose to reject it.  And many will do just that.  But to claim that you can do whatever you want and are never held accountable for your actions is special pleading on your part.  You have free will, but you are not free of the consequences of those choices.

You carry on as if your elf god has importance in terms of reality. Myths for insecure YEC nuts are of no consequence.

Free will is the foundation for New Covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is the one who "chooses" to honor the Father's will and "believe in the One He has sent into the World" to provide blood atonement for our sin that is granted eternal life.
