    Israel tampered with Hezbollah military pagers and exploded them remotely.

    Unbelievably brilliant.

    I think blitzkrieg used to overtake France was brilliant to consantrate so many soldiers and manpower to a land the French army deemed impenetrable is brilliant,
    and simultaneously we saw the first time the Alias felt the penetration from the drugs being used that could keep the german military wired with influxes of energy. It was meant to make geneticly superior soldiers. (Well that was the concept anyway)

    I think it's fascinating how the Ardenn was detrimental to Germany's successful invasion of France and also their last stand in the second invasion of the Ardennes in 1944 (Battle of the bulge)

    I feel bad for the unecesary civilian casualties, but it's a good alternative to gun to gun combat.
    and a bomb can't be easily traced if wired and manufactured specifically for the perp to stay concealed so its good for an assassinations to tap a radio or other cellular device.

    Hello D:

    There were no civilian casualties..  They were designed to kill ONLY the wearer.

    @jack

    But the problem is they did kill civilians...

    At least two explosions were heard as hundreds of men, women, children and older persons gathered for the funeral of four individuals, including a child and a medic, killed by the pager detonations the day before... https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/09/lebanon-establish-international-investigation-into-deadly-attacks-using-exploding-portable-devices/

    I cannot respect anything more than a victory over someone achieved through diplomacy. Saladin was a master of it: portraying himself as a noble and generous ruler, he would often preclude an invasion of a territory with aggressive diplomatic efforts - and when the invasion happened, a large chunk of the Crusaders' army would put their weapons down, or, in some cases, even betray their former comrades and stab them in the back.

    He also kept his word and did not have a habit (which virtually all European kings and generals had) of executing his prisoners after promising to keep them alive. His capture of Jerusalem was especially elegant when, despite everyone's expectations, he not only refrained from pushing Christians out of the city, but allowed them to openly practice their religion (albeit only at specially designated sites) and even left them some of their political power.

    Based on my limited knowledge of history, I believe the time of Saladin to be the pinnacle of the history of the Muslim world. It started gradually going downhill from there. Just like with Marcus Aurelius in Rome, the standard the brilliant ruler set was never met again, and over time the Middle East descended into a bunch of warring nations and increasingly totalitarian theocracies.
