There is a lot of merit to parallels of government and organized crime.  At the end of the day the tax collection and mandatory financial obligations is what makes both so similar.  The shakedown of working folks for tax dollars that's wasted by government ineffeciencies is stuttering

Alex Jones of Infowars is a showman.  He makes a living by trashing the government so we can't take anything from there as a reliable source
  • @joecavalry
A cattle herd helps run their farm of protects their cattle. Not everyone in the government is bad but at the very top it's nothing but banksters and power hungry individuals.
  • @CuriousGeorge
Alex Jones is 50% full of hogwash poppycock balderdash and 50% right about the government. (Now that he is Trump's most dedicated fanboy and totally partisan he is more like 30% right).
Alex Jones is trying to make infowars a real news organization. He is not just a showman but there is no guarantee that he is an honest person. Be that as it may there is more than you might expect to be learned from Infowars, if you can cut through the spin or the inarticulate way Alex presents information.

Alex Jones is there to make the government haters look like angry idiots.

I don't hate the government so I don't mind what he does. I don't hate the players, they are just playing the game.

We were made mortal with limited resources or at least the current world model suggests so, therefore those in power enjoy bit as poor or powerless as the rest of us.

I would agree, especially James Comey and friends...How many have upper echelon people been fired in the FBI & DOJ? There was the IRS scandal, fast & furious, tarmac meeting, not gross negligence but great carelessness, not an investigation, its a "matter", Russian Collusion, Benghazi was a video mishap and to date, I don't think anybody has been held accountable except for Agent McCabe.

Yes Alex Jones may very well be Cointel or maybe he actually is just somewhat of an angry .
Either way the masses are gullible and the government/elite would rather take advantage of that then try to improve society. Instead of trying to change things they maintain the status quo and continue to place profit and power above all else. When in fact if the technology was utilized for the general advancement of the species rather than being hidden and used for the military industrial complex and the public was educated properly it would benefit everyone including the elite because humanity would advance much more quickly and our civilization would be far less precarious.

@StrangeQuarkMatter i made a huge ironic typo, I meant to say we are mortals with limited resources so competing in a corrupt

You can see the parallels between extorsion and investigation.  Robert Mueller has "thus" far only charged people he is investigating with small felony charges. In hopes of getting a witness to give up evidence. In fact case with Mike Flynn.

    • Rudolph Contreras, the federal judge who accepted Flynn's guilty plea on Dec. 1, took himself off or was taken off the case for undisclosed reasons. [1] Hmm?
    • His replacement is Emmet Sullivan, a crusading federal jurist who in 2009 famously lambasted federal prosecutors who had won a conviction against U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, for repeatedly withholding exculpatory evidence from Stevens' legal team. (Gov't withheld the evidence)
    • Later, newly installed Attorney General Eric Holder asked that all charges against Stevens, who was convicted in October 2008, be dismissed. Stevens' conviction was overturned, but only after the scandal-soiled senator narrowly lost his bid for re-election.
    • Ever since then, Sullivan has made it a practice to order prosecutors to share information favorable to a defendant with the defense team. As Flynn awaits his sentencing, Sullivan issued one such order in December.
    • The Washington Examiner's Byron York recently reported that former FBI Director James Comey told Capitol Hill lawmakers in March that FBI agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he had lied to them about his December discussions with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. (Hmmm)
    • If withheld, that information might have kept Flynn from cutting a deal.[1]

A one-page "Joint Status Report" filed Wednesday in federal court in Washington gave notice that they would file another such report within 90 days. [2]

“Due to the status of the Special Counsel’s investigation, the parties do not believe that this matter is ready to be scheduled for a sentencing hearing at this time,” [2]

In 2001, the four men convicted of Teddy Deegan’s murder were exonerated. Turned out the FBI let them take the rap to protect one of their informants, a killer named Vincent “Jimmy’’ Flemmi, who just happened to be the brother of their other rat, Stevie Flemmi. Thanks to the FBI’s corruption, taxpayers got stuck with the $100 million bill for compensating the framed men, two of whom, Greco and Tameleo, died in prison.[3]

    • Mueller, first as an assistant US attorney then as the acting US attorney in Boston, who wrote letters to the parole and pardons board throughout the 1980s opposing clemency for the four men framed by FBI lies.[3]
    • Of course, Mueller was also in that position while Whitey Bulger was helping the FBI cart off his criminal competitors even as he buried bodies in shallow graves along the Neponset.[3]
    • In 2008, when questioned about the FBI’s corruption in Boston, Mueller told the Globe, “I think the public should recognize that what happened, happened years ago.’’[3]

Yeah, the man that everybody in DC is saying Muller's an honorable man sticks to the letter of the law.  Turns out he has a bit of a checkered past.  Who's using tactics like the mafia now?
