Well Trump is opposed to green energy and the EPA. But that depends on if you think climate change is legitimately happening or not. Am I the only one who remembers when they all told us New York would sink 10 years ago, or when they told us we were about to freeze to death after hurricanes destroyed Europe? Well, I don't remember the latter, because I wasn't born, but I'm just saying.

@SilverishGoldNova , Climate change is real and happening as I make my argument now. There is no doubt about it, considering that there is so much evidence going for that side.

Trump will worsen Climate Change, or Speed the process up, because of his exit of the Paris Climate Agreement and not being a fan of regulations.

You have really explained your point, but I think you may be referring to the idea that in the 70s there was the idea of global cooling? Is that right?

New York going in large part underwater by the end of this century is a separate issue and part of climate change as we understand it now. More heat = more ice melting = higher sea levels = coastal areas underwater if they don't defend against this with dykes, etc.

They said that New York should have sunk in 2007 as a result of climate change.

Climate change is an effect of Earth's overpopulation not any carbon or gas amount will change that.
  • WakeWake 124 Pts   -
Good lord - the question isn't if there is climate change but it MAN has any part of it. And he doesn't. Neither does CO2.

MargretFri - tell us how Trump or even a blowhard like you could effect the Earth's climate. Every person that knows nothing about climate science is telling us all about it.

Climate change is a effect of our overpopulation so until that issue is fixed we will forever be doomed to collapse our environment. I think governments need to start implementing policies that will include 1 child a family instead of the thousands of families with over 5 kids contributing to the issue. The more people we have the more people that need energy. Simple as that.

Humans are responsible for all of global warming/climate change[1]. In fact natural non human trends are all in cooling phases meaning if it were not for humans the earth would be having record winters and cold temperatures. The natural trends that are cooling are the suns irradiance[2], and volcano eruptions[3].
The science is very simple and every chemistry and lab experiment proves it. CO2 and other greenhouse gases are in certain structures that cause them to trap energy inside the earths atmosphere warming the earth.

No, Trump will not do anything to climate change.  The global warming hiatus will continue.

@CYDdharta The last 24 years have been the 24 hottest years on record. 2016 is the hottest year on record followed by 2015. So far 2010's are the hottest decade on record followed by the 00's the 1990's and the 1980's[1].
So CYDharta is either lying or so misinformed that he knows less then a fetus about the topic. Either way his opinion is invalid.

...or NASA is lying about global temps.

It, indeed, looks like they are lying about the global temp, if such a thing can be determined.

@CYDdharta 1) You using unsourced random charts is a red flag that you're lying.
    2) Literally every organization in the world that measures temperature data finds the exact same thing as NASA. These include Japan met[1], NOAA[2], UK met[3], and satellite data[4].

Yes, the surface temp show the most movement, they're also the most easily manipulated (for political purposes).

Oh No! Trump might raise the global temperature by 1/20th of a Celsius, whatever will we do?! In all seriousness, only a fool would argue that contemporary climate change does not exist, the point is does it matter? I will argue that the massive growth that is happening in science and manufacturing is worth the half of a Celsius it is increasing. I have so many conveniences and technology is changing every minute, I'd say the trade off is defiantly worth it. Also before anyone criticizes Trump for withdrawing from the Paris accords I would like to point out that the US is donating at nearly 3 times more money to the green climate fund than second place, despite having half the carbon emissions of China, and the fact that the ratios of carbon emissions to amount donated does not work out. The Paris accords is a bad deal for the US, giving away 3 billion dollars to hope that a small country will reduce it's emissions so maybe the global temperature will drop 0.1 degrees Celsius - woopie! Imagine that 3 billion put into cancer research or quantum computing.
