There is indeed such thing as an allergy. Poisonous chemicals are toxic items, and inappropriate foods would not technically be considered a food item. An allergy is an immunodeficiency where your immune system turns against a harmless item. An allergy is technically an incurable disease. 

Take my friend’s peanut allergy, persay. A peanut is not an inappropriate food, nor toxic. I’m not allergic to peanuts, which tells me that peanuts are fine. 

For someone who has a peanut allergy, a peanut is an inappropriate food, but for the rest of us, it is perfectly fine to eat.

Peanuts are sprayed with fungicide at least 10 times during the growing process. Thus, it is the most heavily laden food product with has toxic chemical additives.
