in the Old Testament God wanted his people to be rich and to flourish. He blessed those who had more oxen, goats, slaves, land, oils, and so on. Yet in the New Testament there’s a sudden shift, a different mind set, a change of mind. Jesus wanted people to give up their possessions; even told people that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven. Why did God change his mind?
