Seems to me that your collective disagreement, can only stand, via on your own individual perceptions only?

Take a look at the below article, where some Atheists took Mr. Rapert, to court, and challenged his blocking of those same Atheists, by blocking them on Social Media?

Notice in the below (Highlighted statement, what American Atheists President "Nick Fish said?)

Apparently the evidence seems to shed some light on the fact, that some Atheists, are on Social Media, just as they occupy some debate websites?

    https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/2018/10/02/atheists-challenge-jason-rapert-on-social-media-blocking-policy-update

"Atheists challenge Jason Rapert on social media blocking policy UPDATE"

"American Atheists have sued Republican Sen. Jason Rapert in federal court for his practice of blocking critics from his Facebook and Twitter accounts."

The lawsuit contends the blocking is a violation of the U.S. Constitution and state law. It contends people were blocked for expressing different viewpoints on his official social media accounts and also because the plaintiffs were atheists."

    "Said a news release:

“The senator’s conduct constitutes viewpoint discrimination, which is prohibited under the First Amendment. Government officials cannot take hostile actions—like limiting participation in public forums—against someone simply because they have different beliefs,” said Alison Gill, American Atheists’ Legal and Policy Director. “These forums include social media accounts used by public officials for government purposes."

“The Supreme Court has been clear that social media platforms are perhaps the most powerful mechanisms for citizens to make their voices heard,” Gill added. “And now multiple federal courts have ruled that blocking citizens from participating in this forum is an unconstitutional violation of their freedom of speech.”
(****“Senator Rapert has a duty to represent all of his constituents, not just the ones who share his religious views, and on that duty, he is failing miserably,” said American Atheists President Nick Fish. “Anyone capitalizing on their elected office to advance their particular religious viewpoint seriously misunderstands the foundation on which America was built.”****)

Did you read the below excerpt from the article?

“The senator’s conduct constitutes viewpoint discrimination, which is prohibited under the First Amendment. Government officials cannot take hostile actions—like limiting participation in public forums—against someone simply because they have different beliefs,” said Alison Gill, American Atheists’ Legal and Policy Director. “These forums include social media accounts used by public officials for government purposes."

Are you maybe refusing to engage in a debate in regards to both types of internet oriented websites, IE those debate websites and social media platforms being both used by a plethora of online Atheists?

Your (definition) is not a legitimate counter argument.

The same debate websites, and or the Social Media websites being used by the below movements, to push their individual narratives via the below examples?

    The NRA?

    The pro Gun Extremists groups?

    Black Lives Matter?

    White Supremacy groups?

    The pro Abortion groups?

The pro Illegal immigrants, or Aliens groups?

You're not debating, meaning that you're arguing instead of debating.

"What is the difference between “discuss”, “debate” and “argue”?"

"Look at the passage below and think about the difference in meaning of these words."

"The group meeting began with a general discussion of the issue but soon developed into a more formal debate as the different participants took particular sides for and against the topic. As feelings became quite heated, the various members of the group began to argue with each other. Finally the group leader called for order."

This website is a form of social media, because:
    • It is social (you interact with other users socially)
    • It is media (text-based)
So, by definition, DebateIsland is a form of social media.

I would agree with that and also other websites would have debating which is social. They would a type of media.
