What is the justification for having a child when it is effectively the condemnation of an individual to needless and unavoidable sufferings as well as a definitive death sentence?

Sure, there’s our animal instinct that drive us to do so but is that justification enough? Can we really just say, “Hey, we’re animals and that is what animals do” and it’s enough?

If this argument is justification enough then can’t we use the same argument to justify a lot of other behaviors in the same way? After all, things like murder and rape for example, as killing and sexual coercion has long been observed in many species, including mammals, birds, insects, and fish....

I could understand (not necessarily accept) the specie survival imperative argument from far leftists, as it would be consistent with their view that society as a whole is more important than the individual, but if you are a strong individualist, I really wonder what your justification is for reproducing...
