Oh dude what a good question.

Per the Biblical view we don't deserve salvation. It's a free gift.

I want to say if that wasn't the case then Jesus wouldn't have come. If Jesus didn't come I wouldn't have found the love for God I have.

But Jesus came because of the depth of love and desiring of a relationship with us that He has. I think for God to not have offered this gift would make him a different God. Not perhaps any less holy/perfect. Again he's under no obligation. He does nothing wrong by not sending Jesus. But if I give this an honest think through I think that would change his character. Although, the salvation might be what drew me in as a kid. That's not why I became a Christian and when I first became a Christian I didn't know God well enough to say I loved Him. I was ready to commit to following but that love has developed and deepend over the last 2 years. Or maybe they're just different degrees and I'm being a bit nit picky.

Thoughts? Just kinda free forming these thoughts here myself. Again interesting question!
