We have already discussed at length in this forum as to why Christians have an endemic prejudice against and hatred towards homosexuals and the resounding conclusion is that there is no valid reason at all.
Not one of the posts in defence could come up with an explanation and indeed most diverted around the subject and simply chose to resort to the usual gutter tactic of making ad hominem attacks as if to say, "how dare you even question what we think"?
But then, Of course, Comes the trump card. . . . "the Bible says so and if the Bible says so it must be right"
And of course, The Bible does say so. . . . . . . . . "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, As with womankind: it is an abomination. "
(Leviticus 18:22)
But hang on!
A little further on in Ye Great Book of Wisdom we read. . . . "Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, Neither shalt thou cut thy beard. " (Leviticus 19:27)
Now, I wonder how many Christian men who vehemently show hatred towards homosexuals also spout-off against cleanly-shaven, well-groomed men?
So, Doesn't it boil down to the fact that Christians pick and choose rules from the Bible as an excuse for their already ignorant, arrogant and offensively bigoted attitudes?
