Is God Corrupt?

You'd better hope not, being a God follower and placing your faith in someone you nor anybody else has ever met. But anyone who has ever studied human nature and history knows what absolute power can do. In the words of historian John Dalberg-Acton, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men. "
We have seen our fair share of despotic leaders through the centuries whether they be politicians, corporate bosses, or clergy. So, here's a few questions to ponder.
* Given that God is an absolute ruler and master, how do you know that he isn't actually a really bad ace who is going to screw you good and proper when you "go up there"?
* Given that God is master and you, His subordinate, isn't your relationship with said master one of sadomasochism?
* And the only thing you can count on is faith?
An entire nation had faith in Hitler.
An entire cult had faith in Jim Jones.
And other cults still have faith in Christ.
