From a realist's point of view, this is nothing uncommon and is consistent with what we have already discovered in evolution through natural selection. The new species of strain is 70% more infectious than the previous, ensuring that its chance of survival is better. The new virus can only be transmitted through human contact and is reportedly infectious to children.
