Psychology isn't anything like physics, chemistry, botany, zoology or any real science. No well defined terms exist.
Remember, many pseudosciences also follow the scientific discipline, are using scientific methods but are simply not science. Keep in mind that psychology is just really popular which is why it is valued more than other pseudosciences. In reality, it has weird definitions which aren't concrete and are very ambiguous. No predictions can be made using it which shows its accuracy. No one was able to satisfactorily reproduce anything which is one of the most important indicators. Also not many psychology theories are proven by study of the actual brain structure and all, if any. As far as I can tell psychology is the most popular pseudoscience thus allowing itself to remain relevant just by demand while very low levels of accuracy for prediction can actually be made by it...probably just as much as a coin toss if not lesser...
