Democrats now control the senate. Is this Trump supporters fault?

Debate Information

Leading up to the Georgia runoff that as of the time of posting would result in victory for Jon Ossoff of the Democratic national committee, Trump supporters openly expressed a distaste for the Republican party. on the grounds that the election was rigged. Their position is motivated by Qanon and Dominion voting machine conspiracy, which holds that the "deep state" is manipulating everything including elections and has compromised our voting machines in order to change the election against Donald Trump, their lord and savior.

Their reaction has been to propose a boycott of the Georgia runoff election, which was to determine the party in control of the Senate. Now that the state election is over, it is clear that David Perdue was beaten by a narrow margin, only about 27,000 votes.

I speculate from this, that the conspiratorial thinking by the masses worked to convince them to disenfranchise themselves and cost them the election, and cost Republicans control of the Senate.
At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation,
Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root.
Through a long process of evolution this life
developed into the human race.
Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology .

All of that so we can argue about nothing.

    yeah it actually is.

If it weren't for that fiasco yesterday, trump would still have a grip on the senate.

Yeah, what's funny is that until all that happened yesterday I thought that this would be the main talking point. The way everything for the last 4 years was just a constant 1 up of the previous week is insane. It's as if the entire year was a reality TV show, and now this is the season finale.

Quick question, but rather irrelevant to the topic, do you believe our two parties should collapse and new third-parties emerge to take their place to make a more stable and United America?

I wouldn't say "collapse" but I would agree that our current 2 party system does not adequately represent the people. The Republican party could easily be split into a populist party, conservative party, and libertarian party. The Democratic party could be the neo-liberal party, the democratic socialists, and the green party. I don't think we need "3rd parties", but having more would probably alleviate a lot of the division we see in the US.
