I used to consider myself an agnostic, but now I'm an atheist. Here's why. I think God (defined as an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent being) contains internal contradictions. (I am using 'he' to refer to God, because God is most commonly characterised as male.)
    1. If God is omnipotent, he will be capable of preventing himself from doing something. But, if he is incapable of then doing the thing he has prevented himself from doing, then he is not omnipotent. Therefore, God cannot be omnipotent.
    2. If God is omniscient, he knows what he will do in the future. But if this is true, he cannot change his future decisions, meaning that he isn't omnipotent.
    3. A commonly raised objection to this is that God does not exist within time. But, if that is true, he is not omniscient, as he does not know his own future, as he does not have one.
Therefore, while agnosticism may seem like a reasonable position, atheism is the more reasonable position unless these contradictions are somehow resolved.
