- If God is omnipotent, he will be capable of preventing himself from doing something. But, if he is incapable of then doing the thing he has prevented himself from doing, then he is not omnipotent. Therefore, God cannot be omnipotent.
- If God is omniscient, he knows what he will do in the future. But if this is true, he cannot change his future decisions, meaning that he isn't omnipotent.
- A commonly raised objection to this is that God does not exist within time. But, if that is true, he is not omniscient, as he does not know his own future, as he does not have one.
