For the purpose of this debate, Materialism will be broadly defined to also include physicalism and naturalism, since these would all fall under a similar philosophical framework which is close enough to be considered for the purpose of this debate. This is done with the understanding that these are not the same things.
Materialism is defined as: The philosophical view that all things in the universe consists of or arise from physical objects, their motions, and their interactions IAW the laws of physics, including minds.
What is to be discussed is if this philosophical view can indeed account for the logic as it is understood.
At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation,
Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root.
Through a long process of evolution this life developed into the human race.
Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology .
All of that so we can argue about nothing.
