We are talking about the latest Middle East conflict of course, and the reason I ask such a question is that, in order to follow site etiquette, one should pose the topic as a question. Also, it is a rhetorical question anyway since these religious groups have been at each other's throats since time immemorial trying to prove who has the best imaginary friend. And, to add a bit more drama to the bloodshed, "while we're at it, let's bury each other's innocent children in the rubble".
So, now that we are into the body of this OP, why don't we simply dispense with formalities and instead of begging the question, "Why do they hate each other's guts", why not just drop the first two words of the question?
