Are Video Games Sexist?

Debate Information

I've seen this pop up a few times around the internet.

Women are often portrayed somewhat disproportionately to men in video games. Even when the protagonist is female fore example; Laura Croft (tomb raider), zero suit Samus (metroid), Bayonetta (Bayonetta), Cammy (street fighter), Almost any rainbow six siege female operator, lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil: Village), etc. are often over sexualized for no good reason. Given this, they are still some of the coolest characters I have ever seen in media.

Argument Topic: As a matter of fact.

There are tons of games where the women are the Heroes or are very important, but it doesn't really matter, after all they're only games.

     after all they're only games.

Nice of you to make such a flattering comment about women.

  • Cringe_TrainCringe_Train 218 Pts   -

Well the women in the games aren't real are they?

It's more of the action of sexualizing women.
