    Argument Topic: Quick version.

Someone reported hearing two gunshots that came from outside the installation shortly before noon. Authorities were investigating "leads" to determine whether shots were fired, the base sent an alert around 12:30 p.m. Central Time (CT) announcing the shooting and a lockdown for all personnel. There were no reported injuries.

Probably by getting yet more guns isn’t that the American solution to gun incidents ?

No, the American solution to gun incidences is harsh prosecution of criminals who use guns.  Arming more law abiding citizens is our method of preventing gun incidences.

Yes well done USA you guys have the biggest prison population in the world go USA .....gotta make you feel proud

Arming more law abiding citizens is our method of preventing gun incidences.

Which is why you have more guns than people , that system is working “beautifully” isn’t it ?

The results are mixed.  With between 500,000 and 2,000,000 defensive gun uses per year, allowing law abiding citizens to defend themselves is working quite well.  The bureaucrats running the criminal system OTOH, are doing poorly.  Minor drug convictions are often punished severely, but violent criminals like AntiFA and BLM, Inc. terrorists, much like those who try to buy guns illegally, aren't prosecuted at all.

Yes I guess you guys needs guns to feel safe , all violent societies feel this need

.  The bureaucrats running the criminal system OTOH, are doing poorly.

    Ahh it’s the bureaucrats fault.

Minor drug convictions are often punished severely, but violent criminals like AntiFA and BLM, Inc. terrorists, much like those who try to buy guns illegally, aren't prosecuted at all.

But you just agreed with harsh sentencing , what a corupt country you only punish it seems those guilty of minor infractions yet let terrorists and violent criminals run free .....what strange people you are

There is violence in every society.

    Ahh it’s the bureaucrats fault.
    Finally, something we agree on.

But you just agreed with harsh sentencing ,
Correct, harsh sentencing works, coddling criminals doesn't work.

what a corupt country you only punish it seems those guilty of minor infractions yet let terrorists and violent criminals run free .....what strange people you are
Corruption is unavoidable when authoritarian leftists get together with the most powerful oligarchs on the planet to seize the reigns of power.

Get more guns buddy your country holds the world record for highest gun count  per population as well as highest jailed people per population so your system is working beautifully don't let anyone beat these record highs yous have worked hard to get there

I wouldn't live in a country where I feared the government, I always had the impression Americans were fairly patriotic and now it seems you're saying its only because the government fears you .....

You honestly think the powers that be in  the US  who control the highly trained military are afraid of a untrained unorganised populace?

Americans are fairly patriotic, they're just not .  File it under trust but verify.

How would the powers that be NOT be afraid of an unorganized populace after being chased out of Afghanistan by an unorganized populace?

Because if a war was waged in the US your government has chapter and verse on every citizen their family and relatives , intelligence about your enemy is always vital in these situations , the afghanis have been fighting wars for centuries they have experience with the terrain and frustrating enemies

Look at India as an example the Brits colonized , crushed and ruled India a population of over 2 billion with a handful of men in comparison

Oh my God, how shocking. I mean, I'm not an American but my heart went out to all those affected straight away. Of all places....America!!! a shooting took place. That was just completely unthinkable.....imagine of all places, a shooting takes place, I just couldn't believe it.

But seriously though, (I always reply directly to the questions), I think it could have been avoided if we had just completely removed America from the Earth.

With Americans owning almost 400 million guns, I would have thought hearing the odd gunshot would be something that would hardly come as a surprise. What would be a surprise would be if several days passed without any gunfire in the country.
As for how it can be prevented will only be possible once America goes into rehab to rid itself of its gun addiction.
Unfortunately, there would be more chance of getting an alcoholic to reject an offer of a free bottle of vodka than for America to reject its guns!@MrDebatePerson2

Isn't that a bit rich coming from someone who is the king of avoiding topics and questions and would rather hurl personal vitriol instead?

What, are you telling me that there is someone else in this forum who persistently makes even more vitriolic personal attacks and says the same word more than eight thousand times?

47 million Americans don't use the internet.  The information the government/leftist oligarchs has on them is limited.  Which side do you thing American hunters and outdoorsmen will take?

And great point about India.  The Limeys never would have been able rule India if the East India Company hadn't first crushed their arms manufacturing capacity.

Okay, maybe my finger slipped once and I was unaware that I was having an epileptic fit and pasted a word over eight thousand times.

If you could let me know where I repeated the same word over eight thousand times, I will gladly erase it.

On an Air Force base that trains law enforcement and security specialists, I would have thought hearing the odd gunshot would be something that would hardly come as a surprise.
