We all (should) know that prejudice (socially) is an undesirable and unwanted trait that does unfortunately, pervade modern, civilised society.
But hold on. Is it right to point the finger at those who openly persecute and vilify others (for example, homophobes and racists) or should we go further afield and take a look at those who influence and incite others to adopt such unsavory attitudes.
We all (should) know that religious institutions for example, tend to foster and encourage the weaknesses of its followers, for example, hatred towards homosexuals, unmarried mothers, abortion, and euthanasia.
And, given that religious institutions also tend to take a stranglehold over the thoughts and actions of their naive and gullible followers, should we not consider pointing the finger at them (religious institutions) so that they can at least be given a chance to amend their ways?
