Religion has a history of being rejected and even despised by mankind. If we look at the following quotation we can see how Christianity went down like a lead balloon right from the start:
Isaiah 53:3: "He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem."
Religious followers maintain an uphill struggle holding onto ancient, draconian beliefs which have little relevance to modern civilization.
They are still despised, rejected and held in low esteem by most of society, so, Is it any wonder why religion is rapidly in decline worldwide?
