How would humans deal with Biological Warfare?

Debate Information

A new Covid strain Omicron is found in South Africa which is also very dangerous. I was wondering today that if one virus can shake whole Humanity, then what would happen, if in future the country like China or any other would release virus intentionally and the biological war would be started. How would we deal with it? Upto what extent humans are prepared for anything such?

A biological weapon is more for the fear factor of its existence than it is for an actual effective method of warfare. This is especially true for this specific weapon because any infective agents you release could potentially kill people in your own country. The true effectiveness of biological warfare is to create treatments for possible man made infective agents.

    Hello Thor:

    Couple things..

    1)  I just can't believe that anybody would murder their own population in order to start a war with us..

    2)  We are presently involved in a biological war.  To wit:  How would we fight an intentional release of a virus, any differently than we're fighting an unintentional release?

The whole cold war thing was describing just that killing a nation's own population. Even after knowing an atomic missile could no matter how fast reach its destination on earth without the use of total self-destruction being the alternative. Nuclear Russian Rulet.

The idea of making a bid to purchase some mobile Chinese supersonic atomic missiles to assist in a Global meteor defense system can be seen as helpful. I completely understand how crappy the mathematics are that explains the statistics which describe risks to humanity of earthly atomic detonation remains equal as we move forward this type of defensive missile system.

Yup! Great point. They can focus on making different treatments and get ready for anything like this again.

Yeah that's right. But if one country makes virus then they would also focus on making vaccine for it, so that it doesn't backfire. That would be a smart and evil way of starting a war.
