Sound reasoning is an accepted means of argumentative protocol. It is also an accepted means of establishing the rules by which we live.
For example, most countries follow the legal doctrine of "innocent until proven guilty."
That is not being arrogant but is common sense.
If you were charged with murder you are still deemed innocent until you are found guilty.
If the prosecution fails to provide adequate evidence to prove your guilt you are found not guilty.
You are not required to present any evidence whatsoever to defend your default status of innocence. The default position is always "not guilty".
Similarly, the "accusation" of "God exists" requires evidence in order to validate the claim.
It would be ridiculous for a judge to tell you "you are claiming that you are not guilty, now you must prove it, otherwise, you are going in the slammer".
Similarly, it would be ridiculous for an atheist to be told "you are claiming there is no God, now prove it".
The claim that there is a God is unproven therefore, there is no God.
