Surely we have all had enough of it by now. Christians making up excuses about their quirky beliefs to the point that they have now just run out of excuses and should just politely apologise and bow out of mainstream society.
For example, homophobia. Let's face it, Christians hate gays because they hate gays; there is no reason for it and their feeble excuses such as "it's not natural" or "it is God's word" or "marriage is for procreation" just don't cut the mustard in today's modern, educated, civilised society.
Similarly, for Christians there is no argument or ethics debates on anti-euthanasia and anti-abortion......"it's just abominable because God said so".
Again, surely this is no reason but a feeble excuse to cover up deeply held prejudices and resentment towards others that are the innate makeup of those who gravitate towards their faith then use it as a shield against anyone who dares question their un-sociable attitudes.
