What Is the Age of the Universe?

I don't care much what creationists believe.  I am more concerned with what the Bible says.  And it does not tell us the age of the universe.

The Bible does tell us the age of the universe quite clearly and unambiguously. Genesis sets out quite succinctly the age of the universe at being 6000 years and the birth of Adam at 4000 years through backwards mathematics of Adam's descendants to Noah. Which even then, is over-generous given that the Bible states Noah at being 950 years old when he died, similarly, other characters in the Bible were given outlandishly hyped-up ages. We know for a fact that humans 4000 years ago had little chance of living past thirty years old, let alone surviving childbirth.

The universe is 13.5 billion years old and life on earth started some 8.5 years ago. For a publication to have stated such outrages inaccuracies, one has to doubt the accuracy of the entire publication. The Bible is full of  inaccuracies, myths, exaggerations and sheer contrivances; it's authors are unknown and the scripts it was based upon were unearthed more than 300 years after the last event described, therefore nothing has ever been authenticated. 

And yes, die-hard Bible delusionists will always play on semantics such as "authenticated" or, let's try the "One God year equals thousands of human years" trump card, shall we?

No siree, creationists and Bible followers have well and truly had their goose cooked and it is well and truly time they make an effort to bring themselves out of their delusional stupor.
