What happened during the time of Noah?

    @pamelajohnson1
Noah got drunk, took off his clothes and fell into a drunken stupor.
Oh, and he was the proprietor of a floating zoo. Other than that, not a lot.

Genesis 6:22 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose,
Genesis 6:4,4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The sons of God were angels, who left there place in heaven, took on some sort of flesh and bare children with the daughters of man.

For you to be atheist, you sure know a lot about the bible, what's up with that?

He knows because the story is famous, being told in popular media.
"I will never change who I am just because you do not approve."

What happen during the time of Noah?

Would you specify when this time period was in the real world or is this a BCU (Biblical cinematic Universe) question?

Reading the Bible has been known to deconvert people from Christianity...

Why must atheist not know a lot about the Bible? It is like saying, "For you to not believe in Sauron, you sure know a lot about the Lord of the Rings. What's up with that?"

All I can tell you is it was before Christ.

The bible is a spiritual book.  That's why Jesus talk to the people in parables.  He dumbed it down so that they might understand.  The time of Noah was when the different types of skin can into the world.  Black skin can go lighter, but white skin can only go darker if mixed with dark skin.  So that tells us something.  That Adam and Eve were black. @SkepticalOne

I don't know a thing about the lord of the rings.  Since you read the bible, then you know about these verses, JudeAnd the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.:
These were the angels that had children with the daughters of man.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Children can have lighter or darker skin than their parent(s). Skin can become darker with exposure to the sun.

Your reasoning is flawed even though your conclusion is sort of correct: early humans were dark skinned. That occurs long before the Story of Noah is claimed to have occurred though.

The bible is a spiritual book.  That's why Jesus talk to the people in parables.  He dumbed it down so that they might understand.

According to the Bible, even the disciples had trouble understanding the words of Jesus.

    Matthew 16:8-11
8 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9 Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10 Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 11 How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread?

It is my experience that atheists very often seem to know more about the bible than some Christians.
It is also my experience that many non-believers decide to remain non-believers as a result of reading the bible.

and they took them wives of all which they chose.

And, since there was one family left it was back to the same old game that their ancestors played some two thousand years previously.......incest, a game for all the family to join in.......the father of course, makes the first move.

    That's their prerogative.

There was no incest.  There were angels who took on flesh, mating with the women on the earth.  Producing Giants.

There is no way that a white person can be in the sun so long that they turn black.
The disciple didn't understand because they were carnal minded.  The disciple were learning.

@pamelajohnson1 ; The Apostle Paul via the Holy Spirit provides an overview of the Noahic Generation in Romans 1:18-32 to underscore the culpability of humanity that defiles the moral law and denies the sovereignty of our Creator,

    It is written,

  • There is no way that a white person can be in the sun so long that they turn black.

I never suggested this. You said, "white skin can only go darker if mixed with dark skin.". I provided an exception to your rule to show the rule is flawed.

The disciple didn't understand because they were carnal minded.  The disciple were learning.

You said Jesus dumbed down his message so that it might be understood. If even the men who were with him day and night for years couldn't understand, what makes you think it was meant to be easily understood?

Mathew 13:15, 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
If they humble themselves and open their hearts to God, then the Holy Spirit can give them understanding.
