Kid: Hey Mum, today at school this Yan.....er I mean American kid said to me that he thinks Australians are du-mb.
Mother: Well son, it's a bit rich for a Yan.....er I mean American kid to be coming out with that when statistics show that there are far more religious people in America. Given that evidence shows religious people have lower IQs than atheists, it is completely the other way around. Especially when you consider that they still use old imperial measurements, still print bank notes on paper in the same colour for every denomination and mis-spell common English words. They drive on the wrong side of the road causing a much higher road toll because they won't wear seat belts, forcing car manufacturers to supply higher ballistic air bags, causing broken bones and deafness. And talking of ballistics, there are more guns than people over there.
Kid: Gee Mum, can I take my slingshot to show and tell tomorrow?
Mother: Great idea son, and remember to take plenty of marbles with you (winks at son).
Kid: Mum, from where does the word "slingshot" originate?
