However, any other theists please join in. I have some questions for you. Let's start with this one: Let's imagine that God actually appeared to you one day and demanded that you must get down your knees five times a day would you do it and if so, why or why not?
Would you do it? GOD as self-evident truth would show itself as the reason to be on my kness 5 times a day. Asuming a neccesity by the self-evdient truth yes I would go to my knees five times a day an possibly never understand why or why not. Why or why not? A demand from truth is not the same as a demand form and idea of what a object may be.

Have you ever wondered if god dislikes the way you represent him or turns out people like you actually are cast out and sent to hell while you see us floating into heaven.. So much tryhard and you end up in hell. What would be ur faith then?
you wake up one day and something appears to you only you can see no one else.. this thing speaks to you and everybody thinks ur hallicinating or crazy. this thing tells you to carry a cross across town and then get crucified on it for all mankind right before getting ready to farm your land that morning. Would you listen to this thing speaking to you or would u not do it? cause thats what happened to jesus am i right. would you have been willing to take jesus spot?

For that matter, I have never understood lifelong marriage commitments. As I see it, you can only sensibly commit to loving and taking care of the person for as long as the relationship goes great. Sure, "Let us live together while we love each other, and then go separate ways" sounds less romantic than "We will be inseparable until we die, and then we will meet each other in the afterlife" - but romanticism here is detrimental to both people's happiness. The more honest and realistic promises between people are, the fewer nasty surprises there will be. And there certainly will be some.
Even worse are commitments to big entities which you cannot reasonably deeply understand: companies, countries, ideologies... I realize that, when receiving the US citizenship, I am expected to say a certain vow about my commitment to defending this country. Well, I will do the lip service, but I will not invest my soul into the vow. I am not planning to take up any weapons in order to defend any country, and if this country stops being to my liking, then I will depart without a second thought, just like I did with the country I grew up in, and will never look back. The US may very well become socialist or fascist in the future; why would I want to do anything for such a country? And even if the US becomes paradise in my eyes, I still do not owe anything to this paradise, and this paradise can change into hell at any moment in time, and any commitment I might have to the paradise will be voided.
All this is a huge mess. "Patriotism is a last refuse of a scoundrel", it is what many people call "virtue signaling" nowadays that has zero substance behind it - and I would extent it to all voluntarily taken commitments of this kind.
