There are many speakers for truth. Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Dr. Jordan Peterson. They all are aware of the racism towards white people, they are all aware of the wokeism that's been going on. More and more people are realizing that there is large amounts of hypocrisy that comes from the extreme leftist side of politics. It is beginning to sicken people and many of the majority aka the silent majority have had enough of it. Common sense will return to society where everybody can just live in harmony. No segregation needed for ethnic groups who are loving and welcoming towards one another. However, for the movements that "claim" to fight for "social justice", they need to be secluded, segregated and instituted into mental facilities where they will be lectured on every fact and truth that has been proven. This means there are only 2 genders, this means racism towards white people are wrong, this means hatred towards women is wrong, this means believing delusions such as men being men are wrong, this means forcing children into these disgusting ideologies are wrong, this means allowing pride parades and drag shows to go unpunished are wrong and also the amount of hatred towards men from the so called "new feminist" movement that has called for "All Men Must Die."
Prejudicing all "white people" who are commonly referred to as Caucasians/Westerners of European origin is just as bad as mistreatment of other ethnic groups that are commonly known as the ethnic minorities. “Wokeness” has become the nomenclature for the ideology or mentality of radical leftist activists on college campuses, at protests, and on social media.
But wokeness has not been limited to just a handful of activists. It’s becoming a dominant mindset in the American workplace, in both the public and private sectors, as a method to promote “anti-racism.”
A Heritage Foundation panel on July 24 addressed first what wokeness actually is, but also how it has crept into corporate boardrooms and why it’s such a problem.
Angela Sailor, vice president of The Feulner Institute at The Heritage Foundation, said that “pervasive trends under the guise of equality makes diversity training in government, and corporate America, and schools, destructive, divisive, and harmful.”
James Lindsay, the co-author of a forthcoming book, “Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity—and Why This Harms Everybody,” says wokeness is actually a combination of many different ideas.
“Wokeness is a fusion of the critical theory school of neo-Marxism, which is a form of identity politics, and radical activism that has a very particular worldview that separates the world into liberationists versus oppressors or oppressed versus oppressors,” said Lindsay, whose book is set for release Aug. 25.
It marries that, Lindsay said, with postmodern theory, which holds that “all applications of truth are actually applications of politics by other means.”
In other words, the truth is malleable, based on power and who drives the narrative of what truth really is. In effect, the truth is replaced by my truth.
Marxism is a mostly economic theory, with origins in the 19th century. Those ideas, he said, led to some of the worst atrocities in world history.
Traditional Marxist ideas were adopted but changed in the 1920s by Italian communist Antonio Gramsci and others, and became the project of the Frankfurt school of critical theory. That new theory focused more on shaping culture, Lindsay said, marrying traditional Marxism with Freudian psychology and other social theories to change the way people think.
The goal of postmodernists who were part of that movement was to “deconstruct the very meanings of things,” said Lindsay.
Those ideas reached a new phase with the writings of Herbert Marcuse, a Columbia University professor in the 1960s and 1970s who advocated radical activism based on identity politics.
But this radicalism burned out, Lindsay said, because its violence ultimately made it unpopular.
The radicals then left the streets and embedded themselves in our schools and universities.
“It has all of the conflict theory—separate the world into oppressor-versus-oppressed classes—with zero-sum conflict, no ability to agree or understand one another across those, and then takes on the postmodern understanding of truth being just politics by other means, which removes all of the brakes standing up against it,” Lindsay said.
Seeing the world through that lens is what constitutes wokeness.
Mike Gonzalez, a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation and author of the new book “The Plot to Change America: How Identity Politics Is Dividing the Land of the Free,” explained how these ideas entered the workplace under the guise of combating racism and why they are so toxic.
“Anti-racism training is a con,” Gonzalez said. “These consultants get paid exorbitant amounts of money. Often these fees come from taxpayer funds.”
Though many of the advocates of wokeness are con artists, we have to take them seriously, Gonzalez said, because there is a strong ideological component to it.
“The true name of anti-racism training is consciousness-raising struggle sessions,” he said.
It’s used to demolish the “hegemonic narrative,” which in simpler terms, Gonzalez said, is simply “the American story, the American dream, the promise of liberty and prosperity that have attracted about 100 million immigrants from all over the world from 1850 to the present.”
Christopher Rufo, the director of the Center on Wealth and Poverty at the Seattle-based Discovery Institute and contributing editor at City Journal, has delved into how “anti-racist training,” together with the Black Lives Matter movement, has invaded the boardroom and government.
“This is now becoming the default ideology of the bureaucracy, and people are making, in some cases, millions of dollars offering essentially political indoctrination on the public dime to public employees,” Rufo said.
All levels of government, as well as nonprofits and corporations, now have human resources departments that have adopted critical race theory as their dominant functioning ideology, he said, adding that it’s become a particularly big problem at the federal level.
“You have an apparatus of federal power that has grown extraordinarily since the days of Woodrow Wilson through [Franklin Roosevelt] through [Lyndon Johnson] in this kind of permanently expanding power that until recently, at least theoretically, operated under the ostensible ideology of the social sciences, of neutrality, but it’s really been abandoned,” Rufo said.
The permanent bureaucracy, no matter who the president is, has adopted critical race theory as its ideology of choice.
That’s leading to a “change in regime” that has never been voted on or approved by the American people, Rufo said. The result is that the machinery of the bureaucracy will be weaponized against the American people.
Rufo spoke of potential ways to stop this form of regime change. He said that it’s important to create institutional infrastructure to protect people from being targeted and “canceled.”
Gonzalez said that it is essential to inform other Americans of the transformation taking place and warn them of the radical changes to come if these ideas are not stopped.
“The more we write about this, the more we expose people to what has taken place, to why, who did it, how they did it, and what is their real goal here, we can start to demolish this idea that ‘no, this is nice because people need … justice,’” Gonzalez said, adding: “Let’s really be honest, and without rancor in our heart, just expose them. Sunshine can be a great disinfectant. Let’s really allow in the light and expose this for what it is.”

In internet parlance, a troll is generally defined as a person who posts abusive, insulting, inflammatory, extraneous, off-topic or digressive messages in an online community.
In this article, I present a psychological analysis of trolls in the current Indian context. An analysis of a very large number of trolls reveals that, contrary to a benign belief, their purpose is not amusement, annoying others, drawing attention, or to disrupt a discussion by a foolish contradiction of common knowledge; rather they are driven by motives that are nothing but sinister.
Trolling, for them, is also a way of demonstrating their numerical strength and thus constitutes an indirect threat that they will prevail by sheer numbers, if not by merit.
That is why the conventional wisdom of not feeding the trolls by simply ignoring them or not responding to them does little to them. Isolated trolls could be ignored, not thousands of them. Moreover, since many of them contain implicit or explicit threats of violence and sexual violence, some of them might need to be reported to the police also.
Personality traits
Many trolls in India are actually dangerously depraved people because their viciousness is agenda-driven. Whatever they write, they write deliberately, not on impulse, and this puts more purpose into it.
For them the online virtual world is just an extension of the real world where they do horrible things. Dr. Jennifer Golbeck of the University of Maryland writes that trolling is linked with the ‘Dark Tetrad’ of personality traits.
The ‘Dark Triad’ of personality traits is characterised by psychopathy (continuous anti-social behaviour, impulsivity, selfishness, callous and unemotional traits and remorselessness), Machiavellianism (manipulation and exploitation of others, an absence of morality, unemotional callousness, and a higher level of self-interest) and Narcissism (by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy).
Adding sadism (cruel or demeaning behaviour to others, or intentionally inflicts physical, sexual, or psychological pain or suffering on others in order to assert power and dominance or for pleasure and enjoyment) makes up the ‘Dark Tetrad’.
In the early years of online forums, posting insults and profanity was called flaming and its more aggravated form was called “shitposting”. Then there was “hit-and-run posting” where someone posted something offensive and then disappeared.
We also had online shaming and cyberbullying in which targets were publicly humiliated or harassed. It would be a serious mistake to think that trolling of the kind we encounter in India is a virulent form of self-righteousness, as some people believe—they have obviously not seen the muck here.
Trolling in India is much more than all of these combined because trolls do not leave any doubt that they hate their targets so much that they would like to do horrible things to them and their ilk. Anonymity on the internet leads to the online toxic disinhibition effect, which makes the darker side of their personality burst forth easily because of pack mentality.
In his article ‘How the internet created an age of rage’, Tim Adams cites Tom Postmes, professor of social and organisational psychology at the universities of Exeter and Groningen.
Postmes says, “Trolls aspire to violence, to the level of trouble they can cause in an environment. They want it to kick off. They want to promote antipathetic emotions of disgust and outrage, which morbidly gives them a sense of pleasure.”
Broad types of trolls and their techniques
My analysis of a very large number of trolls reveals the following broad types of trolls and techniques they use.
Ad hominem attacks:
Such trolls are directed against the person rather than the argument he or she is giving because they cannot counter them on merit. Hence, they try to find or fabricate something negative about the person, totally unrelated to the matter at hand.
Even if a Nobel laureate were arguing something, the trolls would say that he got the Nobel Prize for holding anti-India and anti-Hindu views or that he was accused of financial bungling in some university. Trolls, of course, do not require any proof for any allegation under the sun!

Character assassination attacks:
In the case of female targets, ad hominem attacks quickly assume the form of character assassination that covers everything from their bodies to their personal lives. Trolls often reserve their most obnoxious vitriol for women journalists and writers.
All that those women have achieved in their lives by the dint of sheer hard work and intellect is maliciously attributed to their having exploited their femininity with obvious hints. A very common epithet for any woman holding views at variance with the majoritarian narrative is ‘jihadin’ (a woman jihadi).

Dismissive types:
A favourite ploy of trolls is summary dismissal of the target to avoid any argument — who is he; he might have published papers in foreign journals, we do not care; why should we believe him; we do not need any certificate from anybody; and so on.
Inferiority complex-driven attacks:
Trolls’ poor educational and intellectual level is often evident from the mistakes in the language they use. They have therefore a natural antipathy to logic, knowledge and education, usually a result of their inferiority complex.
Call it misogyny or whatever; educated and ‘successful’ women in particular give them a huge inferiority complex. This finds expression in numerous ways.
A usual refrain is that keep your knowledge to yourself, we the majority do not need it. Second, that while you may be a qualified individual, you are not an expert in such-and-such field. In other words, they expect the target to have a PhD in every field he comments upon or else he is disqualified from making comments; the trolls on the other hand, being poorly educated, have the right to comment on everything.
Third, that it is the misfortune of this country that one who is ‘educated’ starts criticising the country’s history, culture, and, of course, its political policies; thereby implying that only the views of the semi-literate majority matter and not yours—they are the ‘real people’ while the ‘educated’ people are phoney.
Labelling:
Used pejoratively, branding is a form of summary dismissal. These days a battery of labels is available to choose from — leftist, liberal, ‘sickular’, ‘libtard’, ‘librandu’, urban naxal, jihadi, anti-national, ‘Paki pimp’, ISI agent, on ‘payroll of terrorists’, and the interesting description of being a ‘jihadi working for China’, etc.
For trolls, you must be wrong because they have called you by one of these epithets and they need not explain further. Implicit in such labelling is casting aspersion on the target’s loyalty to the nation. A common refrain is to hurl insult that the target ‘survives on the scraps of India’ and yet he is so ungrateful that he criticises someone who, for the trolls, is a living embodiment of the very idea of India. The fact that everyone toils to earn a living and has equal rights in the nation is simply banished.
Attacks impugning motives:
If, for some reason, a target could not be called an outright anti-national, he could still be derided as one having no genuine concern for the nation or its problems — that his real motive is to discredit some popular leader. They also try to compare the incomparable. If a target questions the failure of the government in something, they ask in turn what you have done for the society.

Religious bigotry-driven attacks:
This is too well known to merit much description. Recently, there was a call for genocide of a particular community by a woman in connection with the alleged spreading of COVID-19 — eventually her twitter account was suspended. Speaking of insensitivity, it has become common to ridicule even a misfortune like poverty — you must have come across references to people of a particular community having cycle-puncture repair shops.
Bigotry has reached such levels that a woman of another religion was trolled for having quoted a line of a saint like Bulle Shah in connection with her playing Holi.
You could prove someone’s malevolence beyond doubt, may be get him convicted for some crime through a court of law; however, trolls would still maintain that though he is a bad person, he is at least not a jihadi!
Diversionary and wrong ‘facts’ attacks:
Trolls switch tracks faster than an express train. In order to avoid arguments on merit, they suddenly write something completely off-topic, which is provocative too. Unsuspecting people fall into the trap. Trolls specialise in claiming authority by posting completely bogus facts or quotes and attribute them to some famous text or personality.
Sexual innuendos:
The targets of sexual innuendos are mostly women. It is a form of diversionary tactic and for obvious reasons instantly draws the attention of other pervert vultures amongst them.
Quite understandably, for them a woman is nothing more than her body. They must not be ignored because they are potential rapists and molesters. So obsessed they are with the bodies of their targets that if a target appears beautiful, she would be accused of having photoshopped her pictures, insinuating that she wanted to appear more beautiful, and hence she is not a ‘good woman’ — as if it is a crime to appear beautiful.
God forbid, if, in their view, the target is not beautiful, she is morphed into a gorgon or a female demon! Sexual innuendos against male targets generally speak of their ‘violation’ by someone whom the trolls project as ‘manlier’ than the targets.
Threats of violence or sexual violence:
This is an aggravated form of sexual innuendo. Threats of rape, etc. in trolls are actually a form of ‘virtual rape’ on a platform, where they do not run the risk of being caught or prosecuted. By threatening mainly women and fantasising about the crimes, they write about, they derive a perverse form of vicarious sexual pleasure out of it.
Flaunting omnipotence of their object of veneration:
Trolls often claim that their object of veneration is one who wields power and authority and hence, he does not care two hoots about criticism from people like the targets. They often cite the example of an elephant ambling by even as scores of dogs keep barking.
They add that you, in your whole life, might not have won even a sarpanch’s election and that disqualifies you from commenting on a ‘popular’ person. Because he is so great, he does not consider it necessary to respond to criticism and answer questions of riff-raff like you.
Threat of abuse of legal process:
This tactic follows the flaunting of the omnipotence of the object of veneration. The threat is that numerous cases would be foisted upon you and your life will be ruined running around police stations, lawyers and courts, or that you would face some other government action.
The men who can do such things are hailed as ‘strongmen’ who really know the ‘art of ruling’.
One, who criticises this, is ridiculed for being scared of them.
It may be difficult or even undesirable to get rid of anonymity on the internet — both technically and by legislation, because whistleblowers and dissidents need it. Examples like those of models Liskula Cohen and Carla Franklin in the USA, who could get orders from the court forcing Google and YouTube respectively to reveal identities of the bloggers who had posted defamatory matter and proceeded to sue them, must be treated as rarity and extremely expensive ventures.
There is too much of hatred out there on the internet to be wished away, but recognising the personality traits of trolls, their psychological insecurities and the techniques used by them, that is, generally understanding the functioning of their minds, would help their targets cope with their depredations better.

There is an urgent need to understand why people troll.
Recent Australian estimates show about one in three internet users have experienced online harassment.
Across several research studies, I have attempted to construct the psychological profile of those who trolls to harm others.
In my most recent study, conducted with Genevieve Steele, I wanted to see if trolling could be linked to self-esteem. Do people troll because they have low self-worth?
What is trolling?
In scientific literature, internet trolling is defined as a malicious online behaviour, characterised by aggressive and deliberate provocation of others. “Trolls” seek to provoke, upset and harm others via inflammatory messages and posts.

Trolling can refer to a variety of online behaviour. In some circumstances, the intent of the trolling behaviour may even be to amuse and entertain. However, in my research, I have explored trolling as a malevolent behaviour, where the troll wants to hurt their online victim.
Why is trolling a problem?
Trolling can cause significant harm and distress. It is associated with serious physical and psychological effects, including disrupted sleep, lowered self-esteem, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and in some cases, even suicide.
In 2019, The Australia Institute estimated trolling and online abuse had cost the Australian economy up to $3.7 billion in health costs and lost income.
Alarmingly, it is extremely common to experience trolling. Combined with the psychological and economic costs of trolling, this demonstrates the urgency of understanding why people troll.
If we can understand why people troll, this can inform management and prevention.
Researching trolls
In my latest study, I explored gender, psychopathy, sadism and self-esteem as predictors of engaging in malevolent trolling.
Psychopathy is characterised by callousness, deceitfulness and a lack of personal responsibility. Sadism is characterised by enjoyment of physically and/or psychologically harming other people.
The study recruited 400 participants via social media advertisements. Almost 68% of participants were women, 43% were Australian, while the average age was 25. They completed an anonymous, confidential online questionnaire, which assessed personality and self-esteem.

The study also measured the extent to which participants displayed troll-like behaviours. For example:
What the study found
Results showed that gender, psychopathy, and sadism were all significant independent predictors of malevolent trolling. That is, if you are male, have high psychopathy, or high sadism, you are more likely to troll.
The most powerful predictor of trolling was sadism. The more someone enjoys hurting others, the more likely it is they will troll.
Self-esteem was not an independent predictor of trolling.
However, we found self-esteem interacts with sadism. So, if a person had high levels of sadism and high self-esteem, they were more likely to troll. This result was unexpected because low self-esteem has predicted other antisocial online behaviour, such as cyberbullying.
What does this mean?
These results have important implications for how we manage and respond to trolling.
First, based on the results of psychopathy and sadism, we understand the internet troll as someone who is callous, lacks a sense of personal responsibility and enjoys causing others harm.
The significance of psychopathy in the results also indicates trolls have an empathy deficit, particularly when it comes to their ability to experience and internalise other people’s emotions.
On top of this, the interaction between high sadism and high self-esteem suggests trolls are not trolling because they have low self-worth. In fact, this is quite the opposite. The more someone enjoys hurting others and the better they feel about themselves, the more likely they are to troll.
So, how can we use this information?
Unfortunately, the psychological profile of an internet troll means you will not get far appealing to their sense of humanity. And don’t just brush off the troll as someone who has low self-worth. Their character is far more complex, which makes managing the behaviour all the more challenging.
