very well; how does a single cell organism such as an amoeba learn, if no brain and no consciousness?

I would ask myself a different question. How would a single cell organism perform conditions that otherwise look like consciousness without thought by some form of accumulation? Coral interacts with one type of algae and the algae reacts to light in several ways coral does not. Algae are the accumulator of energy for the corals.

so are we saying that single cell organisms learn with out a brain and no consciousness; or is there a rudimentary conscious in them with out a brain? @John_C_87

    Well??? lol........

What I am saying is I have seen observing coral as a hobby. If we can agree corals appear to have no brain nature has ways to give the observer, the notion that coral does have access to functions that are Brian like? The idea thought of takes place and I cannot say it is fact as this was a hobby and not a research project. The most profound observation of this possibility in corals occurred in the reproduction of the species coral I had been playing with in the tank as a hobby.  Looking back jellyfish would have been a great addition but again more work than a dedicated hobbyist might want to explore. The reproduction took place when I began simulated moonlight, simulated tide, and other conditions that are connected to time, the conditions where all within a certain rage as those conditions around my geographic area, by averages, not scaled specific, on top of that the volume of reproduction also appeared to be influences by the health of coral by its nourishment given to the corals from the algae. The basis of observation is that if I had less time to regulate those conditions on top of the general chemical compositions of saltwater reproduction would stop completely.
