Can a Christian be Pro-Choice/Pro-Abortion?

Debate Information

It is NOT possible for anyone who names the Name of Jesus Christ-Yeshua as Lord to advocate for the murder/mutilation of our Lord's children in the womb. Science has substantiated the Holy Spirit's position in the Scriptures that human life begins at conception,

Therefore, seeing that life begins at conception, the SCOTUS decision of Roe v. Wade (1973) violates the aborted child's 5th and 14th Amendment due process protections denying them the right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and is therefore, UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Every child aborted under the auspices of Roe v. Wade (1973) has been murdered via a conspiracy between the US Federal Government - Relevant State Government, the mother of the child and an abortionist and anyone providing a facility for this murder and anyone who advocates for same by ideology and/or vote...there is the stain of innocent blood on every hand that knowingly and willingly participates in any manner in the shedding of innocent blood in abortion.

There is forgiveness for the sin of abortion if the participants repent of (STOP) the unconscionable Satanic behavior and believe in their heart, confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is God who died to pay their sin-debt and that He was resurrected for their justification leading to eternal life in the Kingdom subsequent to death of the body (Romans 10:9-10; 1 John 1:9). NO ONE advocating for the mutilation of babies can consider themselves a Christian, a child of the Living God (Matthew 7:15-20; Luke 6:46). You cannot both love God and murder His children in servitude to Satan (Isaiah 5:20).

Oh we have a similar verse in Quran, I just quoted in another thread. The mannerism of speech is so similar, its uncanny.
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him. 53:32

I think you need to read a Bible your ignorance is appalling......

    prays for

.  “Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.  Give them, 0 Lord: what wilt thou give?  Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. . .Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.” Clearly Hosea desires that the people of Ephraim can no longer have children.  God of course obeys by making all their unborn children miscarry.  Is not terminating a pregnancy unnaturally “abortion”?

Numbers 5:11-21 The description of a bizarre, brutal and abusive ritual to be performed on a wife SUSPECTED of adultery.  This is considered to be an induced abortion to rid a woman of another man’s child.

Numbers 31:17 (Moses) “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every women that hath known man by lying with him.” In other words: women that might be pregnant, which clearly is abortion for the fetus.

Hosea 13:16 God promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and the “their women with child shall be ripped up”.  Once again this god kills the unborn, including their pregnant mothers.

2 Kings 15:16 God allows the pregnant women of Tappuah (aka Tiphsah) to be “ripped open”. And the Christians have the audacity to say god is pro-life. How and the hell is it that Christians can read passages where God allows pregnant women to be murdered, yet still claim abortion is wrong?

    Ouch!

@kakalam777 The reason the Quran is similar to the Torah is the truism that Muhammad plagiarized from the Torah to construct the Quran in hopes of convincing the Jews in Media to follow the Way of Islam.
  • Pro-choice/Pro-Abortion is basically Abortion, and abortion is basically murdering. Exodus 20:13 "Thou shall not kill." So no christians can be pro-choice/Pro-Abortion.
  • Dee, In Numbers 5:21-22, it says that God will make the thigh to rot, and the belly to swell, god knows everything, right? That would prove that the woman actually did it or not, if she actually did it, then that means that she got convicted, not suspected. In verses 19-20, it talks about that the priest gives her an oath to see if she did or not.
  • Dee, also In Hosea 13:16, God does promise to dash the infants of Samaria up and the woman ripped up, but Samaria is unbeliving to god, and if god spares them, he knows that Samaria will fight Israel. In 1 samuel 15:9 The King and the people spared the king of Agag(The king of Amelekites), the lambs, the oxen, and the sheep. In 1 samuel 30, the Amelekites attack the israelites.

    @RickeyD
@Dee @RickeyD @Imachristian ... This is my 4th-attempt to respond to Dee. Dee is apparently protected by a moderator from receiving my rebuttal to her/his hate for God and decision to die in sin and Hell, why? Is this how Dee seeks victory in debates by silencing her/his opposition?

Nothing that Dee has presented in her/his defense of murdering babies has anything to do with abortion. Dee cites Scriptures that deal specifically with war and God's justice against the pagan, vile, enemies of the children of Israel. Dee then cites Numbers 5 which us used by godless, heathen, atheists, to support their murder of babies by using the incorrect translation of the NIV Bible which uses the wrong Hebrew word in the Test for an Unfaithful Wife. Allow me to explain...

Numbers 5:11-31 (Test for Unfaithful Wife)

Numbers 5 is far too often used by pro-choice advocates in their efforts to prove the Bible supports abortion. The atheist/pro-abortion advocate will cite Numbers 5 in the NIV which incorrectly translates the Hebrew.

    Numbers 5:21, 22, 27, 28 (NIV)

21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.” “‘Then the woman is to say, “Amen. So be it.”

27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.

    Numbers 5:21, 22, 27, 28 (NASB)

21 (then the priest shall have the woman swear with the oath of the curse, and the priest shall say to the woman), “the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people by the Lord’s making your thigh [m]waste away and your abdomen swell; 22 and this water that brings a curse shall go into your [n]stomach, and make your abdomen swell and your thigh [o]waste away.” And the woman shall say, “Amen. Amen.”

27 When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse will go into her [r]and cause bitterness, and her abdomen will swell and her thigh will [s]waste away, and the woman will become a curse among her people. 28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will then be free and conceive [t]children.

Note: In the Hebrew, this test does NOT involve a child or a pregnant woman, but is simply a test of faithfulness v. unfaithfulness. If the Woman is guilty, her uterus will be made sterile or “waste away.” If the Woman is not guilty of adultery, she will be able to bear children…there is no mention of a miscarriage or abortion in the Hebrew…it’s simply the difference between sterility and fertility, but no child is mentioned in the text other than in v. 28 stating that the innocent Wife would be fertile and able to bear children.

See the following verses in Numbers 5 in Hebrew and note “nephal” (Strongs 5307) (waste away) is used and NOT “nephel” (Strongs 5309) (miscarriage or abortion).

The Hebrew word for miscarriage is “nephel” (Strongs #5309) (miscarriage or abortion) but Numbers v. 21-22 and 27 use the Hebrew word “naphal” (Strongs #5307) (to fall, lie) concerning the woman’s uterus (thigh or abdomen).  There is no mention of “miscarry” or a child in the Hebrew relevant to Numbers 5:21-22, 27.

@RickeyD If you are christian you should be pro-life based on religion.

However you shouldnt let religion dictate law.  You have to find reasons other than religion to justify being prolife

@MichaelElpers ; It is the Moral Law having been written upon our heart by our Creator (Romans 2:15) that dictates secular law. Commonsense and basic decency dictates the truism that murdering babies is wrong and the US Constitution affirms this truism by stating same in the 5th and 14th Amendments. Life begins at conception; therefore, taking that life in abortion is murder.

Simply because evil men pass laws does, in no way, suggest those laws are moral or right or equitable. It is God who is the Arbiter of all justice and His law has been written upon our heart for a reason. When one suggests that murdering babies is legitimate, that person is demonic and given-over to Satan for death in Hell subsequent to the Judgment lest they repent and seek forgiveness by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

Arguing for or against abortion is like trying to decide what to do if your house catches fire. Should you protect the other homes in the neighborhood, letting your own house burn down, or should you try to fight the fire in your own home, with risk it might spread?

These questions ignore something fundamental: Don't let your house catch fire in the first place

Here is one convenient info graphic which sums up the only sensible stance on abortion. We need to decouple sex from childbirth, so that people only start a family when both parents decide they want to have kids. We need to develop male-equivalent birth control.

    RickeyD
At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation,
Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root.
Through a long process of evolution this life
    developed into the human race.
Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology .

All of that so we can argue about nothing.
  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@Happy_Killbot ; There is no argument that abortion is murder...the only contention comes from men and women who have given themselves over to the demonic ideology of moral relativism. Science has confirmed the Holy Spirit's positioning that life begins at conception; therefore, taking that life in the act of "medical" abortion is murder, plain and simple.

It is the demonic atheist, the moral relativist, that suggests there are exceptions to this truism that abortion is murder but these societal cancers are evidence of their servitude to their spiritual father, Satan.

Odd how you're living in Time and have the audacity to pass a death sentence on our most innocent simply because you can't fathom a reason not too. That is spiritual sickness.
  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@Dee ; It is your unbelief that is causation for your condemnation in Hell. Without Jesus as Lord, you have no hope.

@RickeyD You need to read more carefully.  I never said anything about my abortion stance.

I am pro life.  What i said was you cant site to religious authority to prove abortion is wrong.  You must be able to explain logically why it is wrong.
  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@MichaelElpers ; It is God's objective morality as written upon our heart at conception that testifies to the atrocity of abortion. How can you say that we must not point to our Creator's edicts for evidence of abortion's violations of the moral law/natural law when these restraints find their genesis ONLY in the Law of God?

If we point to man for guidance, man's law is patterned after God's law and if we look to man's wisdom, we find the demonic ideology of "moral relativism" from which abortion finds its justification. There is no morality void our Creator; therefore, He cannot be extricated from the equation when arguing against the unconscionable act of abortion. You are simply incorrect and compromising with a World that does NOT know God.

  • MichaelElpersMichaelElpers 1121 Pts   -   edited November 2019
@RickeyD No that is simply the way it is.

What if someone believes in a god that allows evil things.  If both of you only point to religion how do you decide who is right.  Freedom doesnt allow you usurp your religion over anothers or lack there of.
  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@MichaelElpers ; There is only One True God who has created life and has authority over it i.e. Jesus Christ. If you serve our Creator, you know intuitively that murdering babies in the womb and outside the womb is a most horrid sin. If you serve the god of the age, Satan, you will find no problem with murder for you serve the father of murder and lies, the Devil. It is simply a matter of alliances.
