In this episode of Black Mirror, there is a love story of Frank and Amy, who decide to fight computer dating algorithm to be together at much personal risk. At the end we find out that they are just computer simulations and evoporate into space.
That brings an excellent question- when technology will get so advanced that sims will believe that they are real and have "feelings", will it be ethical to destroy them?

No, and Debra AI needs to be exterminated. AI never ever should be considered consious or superior to us, not in theory and definitely not in practice.

It may be dumber than us overall but it can calculate specific things faster and in a battle of time-retricted wits we'd lose.
