We (apart from paedophiles) all know that paedophilia is one of the most abhorrent of human conditions ever imaginable.
And, here we get to the crux of the matter in that these distasteful parasites of society actually believe that their disgusting thoughts and actions are good and that they actually care for their (potential) victims.
So, let's unbuckle this piece of reasoned logic and strap it onto another human affliction, religion.
Do we see the similarities?
Those who believe in God actually believe that their bizarre thoughts and actions are good and that they actually care for others. Nothing short of a full-frontal lobotomy would ever make them realize the error and folly of there bizarre ways.
Of course, when we strip down all the outer layers of spiritual grand-standing and artificial righteousness we are left with a belief that is completely self-centred and selfish, to say the least.
Paedophilia and religion have been nasty scourges of society since time immemorial and as much as we discourage them, there will always be those few who think that their ways are right simply because they believe so.
Are we doing enough to get it through to subscribers of both of these anti-social beliefs that modern society is fast losing its tolerance of them?
