@ZeusAres42 Well credit where credit is due.
Johnny Cash sang the song but he was virtually on his death bed and his voice was really bad. He was really struggling with that song.

Nine Inch Nails wrote it and performed it as it was intended and was heaps better. But I agree. it is such a grate song.

Last night was a bit of fun. But much like the OP, which was posted  a year or so ago (more posts would still be here if Arong hadn't deleted a bunch of threads), this is another meaningful song to me:

I have never found music to be a great medium for storytelling/philosophy due to the limitations of the format. I look more for the atmosphere songs create, and my absolute favorites are:

1. Keiko Matsui's "She prays to the wind". Helped me feel less lonely when I was stuck in rural North Carolina during the lockdown, knowing no one in the radius of 250 miles.

2. Sting's "Stolen car". Whenever I drive and listen to this, I imagine an antiutopian megacity like the one in the Bladerunner.
