Is a sound epistemology a cure for conspiracy theory type thinking?

Bad epistemology can lead us to believe in falsehoods.
Belief in falsehoods can and has led people to die, and kill.
People professed a belief that Jews were to be exterminated in Nazi Germany and acted upon the belief.
People believe that taking a vaccine for a deadly virus of pandemic proportions is a bad idea. Those people, and people who come too close to these people are dying more than people who have taken the vaccines, wear a mask, and keep their distance.
To not have a sound epistemology these days, I claim, is not only irresponsible, but it can be deadly.
