I understand if us Christians are using the bible as our source, but I assume you're looking for a more informal answer. When we usually define good, we say that these people will pass on the opportunity for others. And these opportunities can vary. Some good people would rather die to let someone live, and I don't know if that makes them a good person, or a dumb , but usually that's defined as a good person. At heart, when it comes to things demographically, yes, they definitely do. Most good people can't survive in areas riddled with violence, a goody-two shoes may differ, but a good person would probably play hero in these areas, instead of being a by stander.
