Are Amishes right?

Debate Information

So, Amish people. People who reject the modern world and live by themselves, or with their large families, without technology or modern medicine and accomplishments. At least, that's the stereotype. But what are they really like? Are they actually smarter than us? Was Dr. Malcom right in Jurassic Park? Should we have stopped to think "should we" instead of "can we"? Has technology truly gone too far? Should we push the limits of what humanity is capable of or stop ourselves before we're too far gone? Disclaimer: No actual Amish people will be on here, as that's the point of being Amish, to get away from modernness, at least as far as I know. However, I wish to know what the community thinks.
