What About Euthenasia?

So heres an other hyperthetical which really puts the hole thing on the line and this actually does happen in real life. May be there is no right or wrong answer but it does put you in a one way or the other situation. 

Say that you are 100% totally against euthanasia and you would never ever take your own life no matter what.

Your a lead mountain climber real high up like on Everest and your tethered to 3 mountain climbing buddies behind you like mountain climbers do when there scaling dangerous snowy areas then suddenly. You fall in to a ravine and your hanging there with no way of being able to climb out. Your buddies are going to be too weak to pull you out.

Would you cut your self free and fall to your death to save your buddies?

    I dunno about those three climbers, but I do know that in my state, I can legally knock myself off, and I'm thrilled that I can.  Who, in their right mind, wants to spend the end of their life, the way they came in, sh*tting and peeing in their bed, being fed, not knowing who their family is, or where they are??
