I would not call "fire" an invention: it is quite likely that not only was it discovered independently by a large number of tribes, it was discovered accidentally, without any intent, therefore not really qualifying for being an invention.

If we are talking about things that did not exist in the environment until humans figured them out and started producing, I would name money. Switching from bartering to currency-based trading is what gave birth to civilization, allowing large numbers of people (beyond one's tribe) to partake in separation of labor and peaceful exchange of goods. The idea to use something as the medium of exchange, applicable to every single negotiation instance, was truly genius, and whoever came up with it was his time's Einstein.

The all powerful god needs the help of humans and their inventions to save people from being tortured forever for exercising freewill in a harmless way except for bruising the ego of a supposed god?  The printing press is a good invention that has actually help in real ways too.

I'm calling languages, mainly because they are the backbone of every single invention. (God created vocal chords and everything else, but humans had to develop their own languages.)
