Why did we need a covenant for such an arbitrary law broken as petty as 'worship me or else'? Why could not this god just create what it wanted without millenniums of human suffering and the threat of eternal punishment? Too stoopid and sadistic? Certainly it has no interest in bestowing freewill of any kind as 'worship me or else' is forced slavery. Most human like this imagined myth called god.
