"Houston police: 5 officers hurt in shooting, 2 suspects dead

HOUSTON — Two suspects are dead after a shooting on Monday that injured five Houston police officers, including four who were hit by gunfire as they attempted to serve a search warrant at a home where drug selling was suspected, the police chief said.

A group of about a dozen officers with the Houston police department's narcotics unit were attempting to serve the warrant when they forced open the home's front door and immediately faced gunfire from one or two individuals, said Police Chief Art Acevedo.

Police targeted the southeast Houston home following an investigation that began after officers got a tip from a neighbor that black tar heroin was being sold from the house, Acevedo said.

"Once the officers breached the door and the gunfire began from the suspects, one of the suspects actually retreated momentarily to the back of the room and then that suspect came back and again engaged the officers in gunfire," Acevedo said at a Monday evening news conference.

It was not immediately known how many officers returned fire but the two suspects were later found dead after SWAT officers used two robots to go into the home and determine that it was safe to enter after the gunfire stopped."

Massachusetts man, 65, clings to hood of SUV on turnpike in suspected road-rage incident

A gun-wielding good Samaritan brought a harrowing road rage incident to a safe end, reportedly stopping a driver who'd been racing through Massachusetts -- with a 65-year-old man clinging to the hood of his SUV.

An unidentified person ordered Mark Fitzgerald, 37, at gunpoint out of his SUV, allowing Richard Kamrowski to climb down from the car unscathed, police said.

“The SUV driver ultimately came to a stop, we believe with the intervention of some good Samaritans, and was taken into custody by responding troopers,” Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio said.

Investigators said Kamrowski and Fitzgerald had been exchanging insurance information after a minor sideswipe on I-90 Saturday afternoon when they started to argue.

The encounter escalated when Fitzgerald suddenly tried to drive away, and Kamrowski, who was in the path of the vehicle, jumped on the hood of the Infiniti, state troopers said.

“I thought he was going to run over me and, I don’t know, I don’t think he stopped, he just kept going fast then slow, fast then slow trying to get me to slide off, and I wasn’t getting off the car,” Kamrowski told Boston 25 News.

Police said Fitzgerald continued to drive for 2 to 3 miles, reaching speeds as high as 70 mph with Kamrowski clinging to the hood.

Alarmed drivers tried -- and failed -- to get Fitzgerald to stop before the gun-toting mystery person finally brought the SUV to a halt, troopers added.

Just like adults?  No.  Teenagers, at least those under 18, are not allowed to own guns. They already face total gun control.  They're a good illustration of why gun control will never stop all shooting incidents no matter what measures are passed.

The biggest argument against gun legislation made against constitutional common defense to own and keep gun with ammunition. It not just violates the citizen of the United States Constitutional right to common legal defense to the general welfare, it effects the soldier’s constitutional right inside the Republic armed force as well equally. All men are created equal by their creator.

When the general welfare is not allowed to keep and bear-arm, meaning gun and ammo, the burden of lethal force as a task falls on only the soldier, who is then asked by people who openly refuse to share burden of lethal force by choice. A person has a right to not carry the burden of lethal force. A person does not have the right to remove the common defense of united a legal states. That made on public and private matters of national legal security.

It is far easier to accuse other of murder when a person does not share equality. All men are created equal from a strictly military sense. The idea is now we the people have formed a Congressional Armed Force while states and cities no longer hold a common legal defense to the general welfare of the armed force that guard them.

This is a form of Gun Control. The idea however is it shared equally in the burden of use of choice to lethal force between civilian and militia. The basic principle is the people who are not armed can be as much to blame as the person armed at a mass shooting for they unarmed could have applied gun control directly themselves. But, did not.
